Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of supplies
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing with precision
- Provide outstanding customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain compliance with state/federal pharmacy regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Operate pharmacy technology systems efficiently (e.g., dispensing software, inventory management)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license
- Prior pharmacy experience (6 months to 2 years preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software
- High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy tech certification preferred
- Pass background check and drug screening
