Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and stock rotation protocols
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for prescription verification
- Maintain strict compliance with DEA and pharmacy board regulations
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid state pharmacy technician license
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy law
