Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and auditing pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and handle patient billing inquiries
- Maintain precise medication records and comply with all regulatory requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education on medication usage
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in New Mexico (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
