Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and compound pharmaceutical preparations
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain controlled substance inventory and documentation per DEA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Coordinate with healthcare providers on prescription verification and refill requests
- Operate pharmacy management systems and maintain accurate patient records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and state pharmacy board regulations
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
