Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy management software for prescription processing and record-keeping
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
Qualifications
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety protocols
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Background check and clean drug screening required
