Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify patient information
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical tasks and compound preparations
- Utilimize pharmacy software for record-keeping and workflow management
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 1-2 years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification preferred
- Compounding experience a plus
