Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and prescription documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Operate pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and inventory management systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Valid Colorado driver's license and reliable transportation
- Background check and drug screen required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
