Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain proper inventory control and medication storage protocols
- Prepare IV admixtures and sterile compounds in compliance with USP standards
- Operate pharmacy automation systems and prescription processing software
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling guidance
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality of patient information
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong math skills and medication knowledge
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Background check and drug screen required
