Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Verify prescription information, including drug interactions, allergies, and dosage accuracy.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries regarding medications and services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Assist in the collection of patient data and participation in immunization programs when applicable.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- Current state licensure as a Pharmacy Technician (if required by state regulations).
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills for dosage calculations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy management software.
