Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing systems
- Maintain pharmaceutical inventory and order supplies efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and California Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV medications (with proper certification)
- Train new pharmacy technicians on standard procedures
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
