Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, including allergies and current medications, to ensure safety and compliance.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and performing monthly stock counts.
- Assist with sterile compounding and quality control checks to meet regulatory standards.
- Process insurance claims, handle returns, and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers in person and via phone.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Florida Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT).
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or NHA preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in a high-volume setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
