Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing following strict safety protocols and FDA guidelines.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before dispensing.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries, provide education on proper usage, and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and nursing staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in the pharmacy management system.
Qualifications
- Candidate must hold a current PTCB or ExCPT certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, dosage forms, and medication interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license.
