Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable individual who thrives in a collaborative healthcare setting. You will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive the correct medications efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Verify prescription information for accuracy, completeness, and legality.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing according to safety protocols.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including checking expiration dates and reordering supplies.
- Communicate with patients regarding prescriptions, insurance coverage, and medication interactions.
- Assist the Pharmacist in the compounding and filling of prescriptions.
- Process insurance claims, handle billing inquiries, and manage cash transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Valid state license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in Arizona.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
