Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process prescription orders, including refill authorizations and new prescriptions.
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and prescription details to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medication profiles within the pharmacy management system.
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including compounding when necessary.
  • Manage inventory levels, including checking expiration dates, stocking shelves, and organizing the pharmacy area.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and addressing concerns professionally.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
