Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for patient pickup.
- Verify patient insurance information and process transactions using pharmacy management software.
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and DEA guidelines.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflows and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in California.
- PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
