Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication orders for accuracy and safety.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Process insurance claims and handle patient billing inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Assist customers with prescription transfers and general medication inquiries.
- Perform sterile compounding duties as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification.
- Valid North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical proficiency.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software (e.g., McKesson, Cerner).
