Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for patients.
- Verify patient information and prescription details against physician orders.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications and insurance.
- Assist the Pharmacist in compounding and preparing specialty medications.
- Ensure strict compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle financial transactions accurately.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage forms.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred).
