Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and process prescription orders accurately and efficiently using our state-of-the-art pharmacy software.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing, ensuring proper labeling and safety checks.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and process orders for new pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist pharmacists with medication therapy management and clinical interventions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering inquiries and explaining prescription details clearly.
- Maintain strict compliance with all HIPAA regulations, state pharmacy laws, and company policies.
- Operate pharmacy equipment, including pill counters and automated dispensing systems.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to sit for the PTCB or ExCPT certification exam.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency with experience in Windows applications.
