Responsibilities

  • Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders for completeness, accuracy, and legality.
  • Manage inventory levels, including reordering supplies, stocking shelves, and performing monthly stock counts.
  • Assist customers with prescription inquiries, insurance claims, and provide medication counseling where appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in strict compliance with all health and safety regulations (HIPAA, OSHA).
  • Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computer systems with high proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or current registration with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
