Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure all patient information is complete and up-to-date.
- Prepare and package medications according to strict pharmacy protocols and safety guidelines.
- Assist pharmacists in the dispensing process and provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace in accordance with health regulations.
- Handle insurance verifications and process claims accurately.
- Assist with compounding medications when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with pharmacy management software.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
