Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately prepare and fill prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Interact with patients and healthcare providers in a professional, friendly, and empathetic manner, answering questions regarding medications and insurance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, receive and organize pharmaceutical shipments, and manage inventory to ensure product availability.
- Insurance Verification: Assist patients with insurance claims, copay processing, and medication assistance programs.
- Quality Control: Perform routine checks on medication labels and packaging to prevent errors and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and medication history logs in the pharmacy management system.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification required.
- Licensure: Valid Missouri Pharmacy Technician license.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Skills: Strong mathematical skills for dosage calculations and excellent attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and basic computer operations.
