Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality protocols
- Collaborate with pharmacists on patient care plans
- Utilize pharmacy software for record-keeping and tracking
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Nevada (NV Board of Pharmacy)
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- CPR certification preferred
