As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will work closely with pharmacists to prepare prescriptions, manage inventory, and provide outstanding customer service to our community.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately following state and federal guidelines.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing monthly counts.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding medications, refills, and store policies in a professional manner.
- Process claims and handle cash transactions at the point of sale.
- Assist the pharmacist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Document patient interactions and medication history in the pharmacy management system.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Current State of Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
