Responsibilities
- Prepare and Package Medications: Accurately fill prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring proper labeling and safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct monthly inventories, and order pharmaceutical supplies to ensure seamless operations.
- Customer Service: Greet patients, answer questions regarding medications, and provide outstanding service at the dispensary window.
- Insurance Verification: Process insurance claims and verify patient information to minimize out-of-pocket expenses.
- Quality Control: Perform routine quality assurance checks to ensure all dispensed medications meet regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold or be willing to obtain a valid CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage complex data and maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
