Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications: Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Patient Interaction: Greet customers, answer phone inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service while processing prescriptions.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage incoming shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records using our pharmacy management system.
- Quality Control: Verify prescription information, including dosage, drug interactions, and allergies, to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with insurance verifications, co-pay collections, and filing of medical records.
- Regulatory Adherence: Strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy and minimal errors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and computer operations.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
