Responsibilities
- Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions according to state and federal laws.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders for accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Prepare sterile compounding products as required by protocols.
- Assist pharmacists with medication therapy management and patient counseling.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all transactions.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Valid New York State PharmTech license or eligibility to obtain one.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
- Effective communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
