Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in prescription preparation, labeling, and dispensing under supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including stock rotation and expiration tracking
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure strict compliance with pharmacy regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Operate pharmacy dispensing systems and maintain clean, organized workspace
- Participate in continuous training programs to enhance technical knowledge
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior pharmacy experience necessary—training provided
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn pharmacy software
- Pass background check and drug screening (pre-employment)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
