Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be the vital link between our patients and their medication. You will work closely with licensed pharmacists to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
- Receive prescription requests from patients and verify the accuracy of information.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries, insurance coverage, and payment processing.
- Manage inventory levels, including counting stock and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the collection and processing of prescription samples.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn pharmacy software quickly.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Willingness to obtain state licensure/certification during employment (training provided).
