Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Receive, review, and verify prescription orders from physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Prepare medication labels, package, and dispense prescriptions to patients.
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and order pharmaceutical supplies as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries and resolving prescription issues.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening.
- Basic computer literacy is preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Must be a resident of New York State.
