Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Prioritize cases based on medical urgency and acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians and ER staff for seamless patient flow
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and family members
- Monitor vital signs and track patient progress throughout treatment
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR or similar systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in high-stress environments
- Spanish bilingual preferred (not required)
