Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Operate pharmacy technology (e.g., automated dispensing systems)
- Assist with sterile compounding and IV preparation
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior pharmacy experience necessary – paid training provided
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
- PTCB certification exam completion required post-training
- Valid Virginia driver's license preferred
