Responsibilities
- Accurately receive and verify prescription orders, checking for allergies and drug interactions.
- Prepare and package medications for patient pickup or delivery with extreme precision.
- Process insurance claims and reimbursements efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering stock and conducting monthly audits.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and offering medication counseling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace in accordance with FDA and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to sit for the exam (required).
- Current California State Board of Pharmacy registration.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact empathetically with patients.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift boxes of supplies.
