Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records using pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols
- Assist with sterile compounding and IV admixture preparations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician license (PhT)
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
