Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescriptions for accuracy.
- Assist the Pharmacist in compounding and dispensing medications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels.
- Communicate with patients regarding prescriptions, drug interactions, and insurance coverage.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
- 1+ years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Cerner, Epic, McKesson).
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and privacy laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
