Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and prepare IV solutions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing inquiries with precision
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and medication documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and implementing best practices
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- PCTB certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
