Responsibilities
- Prescription Fulfillment: Accurately receive, verify, and fill prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist in strict compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage pharmacy inventory, and assist with purchasing and reordering medications and supplies.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients, answering questions regarding medications, insurance, and pharmacy policies.
- Insurance Processing: Accurately process insurance claims, verify coverage, and handle co-payments and billing inquiries.
- Medication Safety: Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and adhere to strict safety protocols, including proper storage and handling of controlled substances.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, medication profiles, and pharmacy logs.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or registration eligible in the state of California.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform complex tasks with high accuracy and precision.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
