Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions, checking for drug interactions and dosage appropriateness.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Assist in the processing of insurance claims and reimbursement paperwork.
- Maintain a sterile and organized pharmacy environment in compliance with FDA and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
