Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications following strict safety protocols and state regulations.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Manage inventory levels, perform stock replenishment, and conduct regular stock counts.
- Assist the Pharmacist with compounding, sterile products, and special orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment compliant with HIPAA and health regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- Current valid state pharmacy technician license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
