Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications to patients following doctor's orders and safety protocols.
- Verify Information: Review prescriptions for accuracy, checking for drug interactions and contraindications before dispensing.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage incoming deliveries, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
- Assist Pharmacists: Support pharmacists in compounding medications and maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy environment.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients by answering questions about medications and insurance processes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise records of all transactions and inventory movements.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- Licensure: Valid Pharmacy Technician license issued by the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent computer proficiency.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
