Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain precise medication inventory and compounding records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Operate pharmacy software (eRx, OmniRx) and automated dispensing systems
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and sterile compounding protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on medication therapy management
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician certification required
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficient in pharmacy software and inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Background check and drug screening required
