Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately, ensuring patient safety and compliance with state and federal laws.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders to minimize errors.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting monthly inventory counts.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide basic medication counseling where necessary.
- Enter patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy management system efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in strict accordance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure the efficient flow of pharmacy operations and resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or registration with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional math skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills and effective verbal communication.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
- Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
