Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and stock rotation systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage
- Counsel patients on medication usage and OTC products
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for prescription coordination
- Assist with compounding and sterile preparations
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Background check and drug screening required
