Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information
- Manage inventory and stock pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management
- Prepare IV medications and sterile compounding (when certified)
- Operate pharmacy technology systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software
- Background check and drug screening required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
