The Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be the vital link between our pharmacists and our patients. You will ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of medications while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications according to state and federal regulations.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure proper billing and compliance.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and place orders for pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist the pharmacist in reviewing prescriptions for drug interactions and contraindications.
- Operate pharmacy management systems (e.g., Rx30, McKesson) with high proficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT or RPhT).
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive patient data with strict confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
