As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive the medications they need safely and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive and process prescription orders, verifying patient information and insurance details.
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including checking stock, reordering supplies, and conducting monthly inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Assist customers with medication questions and provide exceptional service at the dispensary counter.
- Operate pharmacy computer systems and point-of-sale terminals efficiently.
- Assist in the compounding of medications and sterile products when required.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Valid New Jersey State Pharmacy Technician license.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and computer proficiency (Windows, Rx systems).
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
