Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to doctor’s prescriptions and state regulations.
- Assist the Pharmacist in compounding pharmaceuticals and reviewing patient profiles.
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Verify insurance coverage and process payments efficiently at the point of sale.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient questions regarding medications and general pharmacy operations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere strictly to HIPAA compliance standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software is a plus.
