Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, verify, and prepare prescription orders according to legal and hospital standards.
- Process insurance claims and handle patient billing inquiries with professionalism.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including stocking, ordering, and tracking medications to prevent shortages.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding of medications and the review of prescription orders for accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering questions and providing medication counseling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Process returns and voids accurately and maintain proper documentation.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Current Ohio Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain licensure.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
