Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Verify prescription orders for completeness and accuracy, including dosage, drug interactions, and allergies.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide exceptional customer service in a friendly, professional manner.
- Process insurance claims and handle copayments efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the pharmacy management system.
- Ensure strict compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA privacy laws.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Valid Pennsylvania state pharmacy technician license.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software is a plus.
