Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and fill prescriptions according to physician orders and state regulations.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding and quality control of medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries regarding medications, insurance, and health information.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves and processing incoming shipments.
- Ensure the pharmacy maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment for staff and patients.
- Process insurance claims, handle payment transactions, and verify patient information.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current and active California Pharmacy Technician license.
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience.
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict protocols and safety guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy management software systems quickly.
