Responsibilities
- Verify prescription accuracy and prepare medications for dispensing according to legal and regulatory standards.
- Manage pharmacy inventory levels, track stock, and place orders for necessary supplies.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries, provide medication counseling where permitted, and process payments accurately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in the pharmacy management system.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure patient safety and the proper interpretation of physician orders.
- Assist with the packaging and labeling of prescriptions, including controlled substances, with strict adherence to security protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or registration with the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
- Active State of Arizona Pharmacy Technician License.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting boxes and reaching high shelves.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., RxWorks, Cerner, McKesson) is a plus.
